Introduction:

Welcome to the department of Chemistry. Where students learn about organic compound synthesis and how they affect our everyday life. The BSc Chemistry Programme offers exciting opportunities to dwell into the world of drugs. The three year specialization allows students to gain practical knowledge in diverse areas like medical, drugs and industrial etc. Chemistry specialization provides a deep understanding of various organic compound synthesis. We believe that after completing the degree, students will become proficient chemist who can handle lab safely and can work professionally in academia or industry.

The Chemistry department of the college started in 2020 and specialization third year was initiated in 2022. The department is blessed with a well-designed Chemistry laboratory, which can be accredited up to BSL-1. The laboratory is well-equipped with instruments, glass wears and chemicals. Though the department doesn’t have a dedicated library, the central library of the college provides ample reference books for the course. Department of Chemistry organized various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities to make the students compatible in the ever changing job market.
